Polar Express Birthday party

My son Reuben was born on Christmas Eve three years ago and since last Christmas, after watching the Polar express it has fast become one of his favorite stories and most watched films in our house. (even in the height of summer!!) As a result this year for his third birthday we decided to organise a polar express themed birthday party. 
It started with a visit to father Christmas via a local steam railway on Christmas eve which was truly magical as we had experienced snow in December for the first time in years. This was followed by a polar express party at the Station Inn (a nearby train themed restaurant) A friend of mine had made a fantastic Polar Express cake which was an artistic masterpiece in my opinions.
All the children appeared to go home happy with goody bags filled with a single bell, cake, a chocolate santa and a polar express workbook.
It was a fantastic day and if the thirty children didn't know it then Im sure now they all share in the magic of the Polar express story!!
